Harvest Appeal: The appeal for Christian Aid’s East Africa Hunger Crisis Appeal closes today.
Fresh Start: The current most pressing needs are for Kettles, Toasters, Frying pans, Pots, male and female Toiletries.
Seafarers’ Christmas bags: For the next two Sundays, 6 and 13 November, we will be collecting donations for the bags. You can give money or gifts of wrapped chocolates, shortbread, fudge/ tablet, mixed sweets, and mixed nuts.
Leith Rotary Club’s forthcoming charity concert: This will be held on Thursday evening 17 November at 7pm in South Leith Parish Church.
The concert will showcase the musical talents of the pupils at both Leith and Trinity Academies and will be in aid of Kids Operating Room (KidsOR), which gives access to word class, state-of-the-art paediatric surgeries for life saving operations on children in Africa and South America and ensures there are qualified staff to run them.
Donations on entry will be welcome.
Kirk Session: The next Session meeting is due to take place in the evening of Wednesday 9 November.
If anyone would like to suggest a charity for the usual Christmas Appeal please give details to the Session Clerk.
This year the charity should be one working for overseas beneficiaries.
